"I accidently removed the SIM using the smallest option. I eventually figured out what I did wrong and succeeded in putting the card in the medium sized frame, and reinserting it in the phone. It would have been helpful to have a warning telling me that there are sizes, and to push out the card that matches the size of the one in my phone."

So worth the money, especially when it's the same price for unlimited calls and data as *just* a 1 GB roaming data plan (no voice/text) from my regular carrier (Bell). "On arriving to the USA and replacing the SIM card and restarting the iPhone the service provide was absolutely superb. It did exactly what was advertised. Excellent cell coverage providing voice, sms and data throughout my stay.
The ability to provide a UK number for those contacting you from the UK was a real plus and the ability to phone UK numbers in the included plan is a unique selling point.
All in all an excellent service which I would recommend and use again for sure.… excellent product and service delivering exactly as advertised.....cannot ask for more."

"The service exceeded my expectation. I had coverage everywhere I went in the US. There were a few teething issues with setting up the APN on my devices that didn't automatically pull down the config but that was pretty straightforward to sort out... Unlimited calls to my travelling friends was great. It was good not having to worry about any limits, etc. I was less concerned about being accessible by my family back home in AU… I have already recommended the service to a number of friends who travel a lot.

"I was most concerned whether the SIM card was real and that it would work OK from the first moment I used it in the States: I had never dealt with TelAway before and I believed there was a risk that they could be scammers…. But the reality was brilliant! First of all, the SIM worked straight off the bat as soon as I switched my phone back out of flight mode at Boston airport. It continued to work very well throughout my stay - even in a conference where the hotel wifi was poor, I still got my emails etc.
Of course, being able to walk round Boston and be able to find places on my iPhone was great.
On top of that, my (first) dual SIM adaptor broke before I got to Heathrow and I sent a plea by email to TelAway to send me a Nano SIM instead of the standard one I originally ordered. The responded incredibly quickly and even called me when I was in the US to make sure everything was Ok with me - it was in the end because I bought another dual SIM adaptor on the plane."

SIM arrived in time, and as soon as I got to New York swapped over and worked straight away.
Full 4G coverage as well so super fast internet connection, and tethering worked as well….I used 700mb of data when overseas which on O2 would have cost £4200!
With Telaway it cost £40!"

How would you review Telaway's service?
"worked in the San Diego area and Scottdale area. Texts worked. My phone (HTC Trophy) didn't download the APN details off the SIM (doesn't with my home SIM either), but was easily sorted with a phone call to the support desk…
It provided me with the internet in the car to find and book things. Shops, dining without having to queue at the hotel computer... generally improved my vacation experience… Only place it didn't work was Death Valley but then neither does anything else.

"Telaway do a first class service. I go to America every 2 years on average and each time I go my phone bills are huge when I get home and that's whilst watching I don't go over the score using phone so to be able to use it when I wanted this time was fantastic. [The best part was} Unlimited usage of phone to landlines back home was great and also unlimited data was a god send. We had 2 USA SIM cards so we could keep in touch with each other if we got separated in the parks which saved a lot of time hunting each other down lol. I not only would recommend to a friend I will never go to America again without one!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

"It worked without any trouble as soon as I got to the US, and gave fault free performance all the time I was there. It was just like being at home!...Not the cheapest, but it works and the unlimited calling/data facility saves any worry."

"It was great... only issue was I ordered the wrong size SIM and needed to cut and file down the mini SIM to a nano SIM! This worked well." Note from Telaway - not recommended! But phew, glad it worked!
What was the best part? Would you recommend Telaway?
"…lots of free unlimited data - this is good! Yes - I did recommend it to everyone I was travelling with actually, and a few of them did buy a SIM."

What was your experience?
"As it turned out my mother was hospitalised just after I left. If I hadn't had Telaway I hate to think what my mobile bill would have been. I was able to call the hospital and my siblings at any time. Full text messaging also which I wasn't expecting. Was able to use WhatsApp too and also Waze which was indispensable! No matter where we went it always got us back to my sister-in-law's!...I would recommend Telaway to anyone travelling to the states as a MUST! Do not travel without it!... As it turned out my dear old 92 year old Mum has passed away since my return and I am soooooo glad I had been able to stay in touch. Many thanks Telaway!"

So what happened? "Concerns were definitely addressed! The SIM worked as soon as I put it in my phone and there was never any sign of running out of credit or the SIM stopping working…"
What was the best part of the Telaway service?
"Without a doubt, the data coverage. I was terrified of using my regular SIM as my service provider wanted to charge me £6 for every 1MB I used - this would have meant barely using my phone or facing a HUGE bill to come home to. Unlimited data meant that i could upload all my holiday picture to Facebook for my friends to see, to keep in touch with them on WhatsApp (TM) so it didn't cost them anything in calls or texts to the USA. Also, the amount of 4G coverage was impressive."
Would you recommend Telaway?
"I already have. The controlled amount of the SIM versus an unknown potentially huge bill at home will always be a winner.
I'll definitely be back for another SIM next time I go to America!"

"The Unlimited feature! As a parent, I felt very comfortable knowing that my son couldn't rack up a huge bill while he was away. "I was concerned that it was too good to be true! That the setup would be complicated, but it was very simple, just involving setting up call forwarding on my UK SIM and then inserting the US SIM... I was also concerned about possible hidden charges for data usage or phone calls, but no - everything was inclusive as advertised."

"Yes! Very much so! The whole service was extremely straight forward to set up and very definitely great value for money!
